Sometimes there’s nothing better than wearing a comfortable pair of pants on a comfortable Sunday. Try switching it up on Sunday’s instead of jeans or sweats, try some soft linen black pants on these hot Louisiana summer sundays. It’ll be a nice change of pace and will keep you in the relaxing mode. Until next time. God is love, Jesus is power.
I was asked to post the text to the Commencement Address I gave at Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School on May, 19. With some hesitation (as tongue-in-cheek gets lost in writing), and with one important clarification (the corruption alleged was mine!), I post it here.
I am a professor of law…
RumbaTime’s Perry GO Watch
The folks at RumbaTime are looking to make life a little easier, and less bulky, with the launch of their new Perry GO watch. At first glance the sporty timepiece looks like a watch we’d regularly endorse around these parts (interchangeable, striped nylon strap? yes, please) but Perry’s added value comes in the form of a contactless NFC payment chip, turning a wrist into a wallet. Clever.
I guess
God placed you here for a reason. Its up to you to figure out the hows, the whats, the whos, and the wheres….
Live Your Creed! ~By Paul Laurence Dunbar
Live Your CreedI’d rather see a sermon
than to hear one any day.
I’d rather one walk with me
than just to show the way.
The eye is a better pupil
and more willing than the ear.
Advice may be misleading
but examples are always clear.
And the very best of teachers
are the ones who live their creed,
For to see good put into action
is what everybody needs.
I can soon learn to do it
if you let me see it done.
I can watch your hand in motion
but your tongue too fast may run
And the lectures you deliver
may be very fine and true
But I’d rather get my lesson
by observing what you do.
For I may misunderstand you
and the fine advice you give
But there’s no misunderstanding
how you act and how you live.
